Checking your name in the voter list no longer requires multiple visits to the Panchayat or Block office. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has completely digitised the process, allowing you to download the voter list of any village, ward, town, or city in Madhya Pradesh directly from your mobile or computer.
What is SIR (Special Intensive Revision)?
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is a detailed, large-scale verification of electoral rolls carried out by the Election Commission of India.
Unlike routine annual revisions, SIR is more comprehensive and aims to:
✔ Add all eligible voters
✔ Remove duplicate, shifted or ineligible entries
✔ Correct spelling, age or address errors
✔ Ensure clean and accurate voter rolls before major elections
SIR is conducted under Article 324 of the Constitution and provisions of the Representation of the People Act.
